INTRODUCTION

The overall purpose of the Full Appraisal System is to:

  • Develop a healthy, participative relationship between staff members and their direct managers.
  • Enhance manager and staff productivity, build capacity and increase levels of job satisfaction.
  • Encourage managers to provide staff with clear job objectives and/or tasks, feedback on performance and to demonstrate leadership behaviours that support achievement.
  • Discuss and agree on specific development plans to assist the staff member to:
    • Meet the requirements of the job
    • Develop to be able to compete for other jobs at the Company (where the staff member requests this).
  • Provide a sound basis for performance recognition and reward.
