MENTORSHIP GUIDELINE
INTRODUCTION
This section contains a guideline on mentorship. Mentoring is the supportive development of an individual through the use of an experienced person.
Mentorship relationships emerge informally in life but may be established formally in an organisation to ensure steady development for high potential individuals. The concept of mentoring is designed to aid, support and develop the protégé. However a mentoring relationship often has benefits for both parties is that the mentor too, finds satisfaction, involvement and enrichment. It also provides the company with a protégé who is aware of the culture and objectives of the company.
