EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE POLICY (EAP)

 

INTRODUCTION

“EAP is the specific policy, structures, procedures and programmes that enables management to provide all employees who develop, or have developed, psycho-social problems that impair or threaten their work performance and/or general well-being, with the necessary assistance, as soon as possible, in order to restore or improve their work performance and/or well-being”

EAP therefore, concentrates not on the personal problems of employees, but on the job performance of employees, and this job performance is called “production health”.
